1995-1996 | 26" x 26" x 20" each | porcelain, metal
Diamond as Big as the Ritz came out of my artist residency at Crane Canada Ltd.
This installation of twelve porcelain diamond forms displayed on industrial metal shelving was first mounted in a small two-room suite at the Cathcart Building, a predominantly jewellery manufacturing building in Montreal. This was an off-site exhibition sponsored by Articule (artist run centre).
The piece was acquired by the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia in 2011 and curated by David Diviney into a group show, Material World.
